Bishop’s message
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It fills my heart with immense joy to extend my heartfelt congratulations and blessings to the Laity Commission of the Diocese of Jaipur on the blessed and historic occasion of launching its official website. This is truly a moment of grace, growth, and renewal for our diocese — a tangible sign of the Spirit at work among us.
The laity are the living heartbeat of the Church, called not only to support but to actively participate in her mission of proclaiming the Gospel. As the Second Vatican Council so clearly emphasized, the role of the laity is not peripheral — it is essential. In their families, workplaces, neighborhoods, and communities, the laity are the Church’s presence in the world, bringing the light of Christ into places where clergy may never reach.
Through this new digital platform, the Laity Commission of Jaipur is courageously responding to the Holy Father’s call to “go to the peripheries” — not only physical but digital peripheries — and to be missionary disciples in the modern world. It is a bold step in embracing the tools of modern communication with creativity, responsibility, and faith. The digital realm is today’s marketplace, and the Church must be present there, bearing witness to faith, truth, hope, and love.
This website will not only serve as a rich resource for faith formation, pastoral guidance, and catechesis, but also as a living space for dialogue, witness, collaboration, and storytelling. It will help unify our faithful across parishes, deaneries, and communities — especially in a diocese like ours that spans diverse cultures and geographies. It is a channel for listening to the hopes and struggles of our people and responding with clarity, compassion, and courage.
I place on record my deep appreciation for the Laity Commission leadership, the technical team, and all who worked, prayed, and contributed to this noble initiative. Your commitment to evangelization and communion is deeply valued. May this platform be a testimony of your faith, creativity, and dedication — bearing much fruit for years to come.
I encourage all the faithful, especially the youth, educators, parents, and parish leaders, to actively engage with this digital initiative. Let us use this tool not just to consume information but to build relationships, to spread the values ofGospel, witness to our faith, and to inspire one another in love and service.
Let us continue to walk together in the spirit of synodality — listening to one another, discerning together, and journeying forward as one body. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, let us build a Church that listens with humility, serves with compassion, evangelizes with courage, and shines with the radiant love of Christ.
May Mary, Queen of the Apostles, intercede for us as we move forward in faith and hope.
Bp. Joseph Kallarackal
